Demonstration of costumes with elements of Russian folklore

04th July,2019

Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Nepal organized a show of costumes with elements of Russian folklore from Russian designer Olga Maslova. Artists of the One World Theater performed as mannequins.

The costumes were specially prepared for the “Polet” dance performance (in Russian), timed to the Year of Theater in Russia, directed by Alize Biannic, which will be presented on the eve of the 63rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Russia.

The image of the costumes designed by O. Maslova is a synthesis of documentary and artistic images in modern theatrical drama.

The format of the costume show surprised the Nepalese audience and encouraged Nepalese designers to participate in a master class called “Design of modern Russian dress”.
