Discussion on the Topic: "Promoting global citizenship and governance for peace and development."
On October 24, 2019, in the RCSC in Kathmandu, together with the United Nations Association of Nepal (UN Nepal), a discussion was organized on the Topic "Promoting global citizenship and governance for peace and development", dedicated to the celebration of the 74th anniversary of the United Nations .
Among the guests of the event were Gyan Chandra Acharya-former Minister of Foreign Affairs and former Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, Nishchal Nat Pandey- Executive Director of the Center for South Asian Studies and Researches, Dinesh Bhattarai-former Ambassador and Professor Mohan Prasad Lohani. The discussion evening was chaired by the President of the United Nations Association in Nepal, Dambar Bir Tapa.
An RCSC employee addressed the guests with an introductory speech and spoke about the Russian policy of development assistance (international development assistance (IDA)), recalled the concept of global citizenship, which is enshrined in a UN document called “Sustainable Development Goals”.
The event ended with general photographing and informal talking with each other.
