World Environment Day 2019 in Nepal
Russian Centre of Science and Culture, together with the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, held World Environment Day 2019 under the slogan: “We cannot stop breathing, but we can do something with the quality of air that we breathe.”
The program began with a welcoming speech by the representative of the Ministry. Then the Director of RCSC Yulia Androsova told the guests about the environmental problems of the planet as a whole and shared some examples of environmental protection in Russia. For example, such as the all-Russian environmental clean-up, social and environmental responsibility of business, etc. She also drew attention to the high degree of importance and seriousness of the problem.
The guests were then shown a short documentary film on waste and global climate change, and presented the presentation of the same name by Claudia Giokovelli, a UNEP representative in Nepal, and a presentation on hydrogen fuel as the safest non-polluting fuel presented by Dr. Sumitra Amaya, Head of Nepal’s environment and development.
The program ended with the presentation of memorable prizes and the final words of special guests.
