Geographical dictation-2019
27th October 2019, in the RCSC of Kathmandu was held the International educational action "Geographical dictation". The Russian Geographical Society is the organizer of this event and, for the fourth time since 2015, has provided those wishing to test their knowledge in the physical, economic and sociocultural geography of Russia.
Participants had to answer 30 questions, many of which were very difficult. To answer some of them, for example, needed to show knowledge not only in geography, but also in the history of Russia, Russian literature, as well as remember all of us favorite contour maps. But, the main goal of the dictation is not so much to get high points, but to popularize the geography of Russia as an exciting subject to study.
All those who wrote received certificates of participation as a keepsake, and, hopefully, a mood for future travels and personal small discoveries.
At the RCSC in Kathmandu, the geographical dictation takes place for the second time.
Before the starting of the dictation, a lecture was given for those present on the world-famous great Soviet and Russian statesman and politician Yevgeny Maksimovich Primakov, dedicated to his birthday on October 29. As well as the participant was told about the upcoming installation of a monument to E.M. Primakov in Moscow on Smolenskaya Square near the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
